A1 Tourism Visa Exemption

With an A1 visa exemption arrangement, you can

     

    travel, visit family or friends, attend meetings, incentives, conventions, exhibitions, seminars, or similar events, or transit in Indonesia to go to other countries.

Visa type

     

    The A1 visa exemption arrangement allows for a single entry into Indonesia. This arrangement is available to citizens of specific countries and permits a stay of up to 30 days, starting from the date of arrival. Please note that this stay permit is non-extendable and cannot be converted into any other type of stay permit.

    • You can stay in Indonesia for up to 30 days, starting from the arrival date. 
    • You can’t extend this stay permit.

Visa application

     

    On Arrival 

    Foreigners from countries subject to visa exemption who want to apply for the visa exemption arrangement must present their passports, which are still valid for at least 6 months before their expiration, and return tickets or onward tickets to other countries, except for crew members who will stop to join their ship and continue their journey to another country, to the officer at the Immigration counter for passport check.

     

    Pre-Arrival 

    Foreigners from countries subject to visa exemption who want to apply online for the visa exemption arrangement can apply through evisa.imigrasi.go.id, fill out the form, and upload documents electronically. You will receive an electronic entry sign, which also functions as a stay permit and can be used for all autogates at immigration border controls.

Other provisions

     
    • Foreigners without citizenship or foreigners holding travel documents (not national passports) in the form of temporary passports, emergency passports, titre du voyage, certificate of identity, laissez passer, or other equivalent documents are not allowed to apply for a visa exemption arrangement.
    • Foreigners with a stay permit from a visa exemption arrangement visa are not allowed to sell goods or services or receive salary, wages, or compensation for their work/business from individuals or corporations in Indonesia.
