E32B 5 or 10-Year Descendant Visa

Who this visa is for

     

    Visa Index E32B is intended for children or grandchildren (first- and second-degree descendants) of foreign nationals who previously held Indonesian citizenship (former Indonesian citizens) and will live in the Territory of Indonesia for a specified period of time.

     

With this visa, you can

     

    engage in activities related to tourism, shopping, or visiting family and friends. Additionally, you may also engage in work, pursue education, or undertake other activities by reporting these activities to the immigration office that issued your stay permit. While in Indonesia, you may bring your family to reside in Indonesia, provided you comply with the relevant immigration regulations. You may also enter and exit Indonesia during the validity of your stay permit without the need to apply for a new visa.

Visa type

     

    The Temporary Stay Visa allows you to enter and exit Indonesia within a specified period. This stay permit can be extended under the condition that the total duration of stay in Indonesia does not exceed 10 (ten) years, and it can be converted into another type of stay permit.

     

Length of stay

     

    • You may stay in Indonesia for 5 (five) or 10 (ten) years, depending on your selected option. The period of stay is counted from the date the entry stamp is granted at the Immigration Border Control.
    • The foreign national may extend their stay permit online through their registered account at evisa.imigrasi.go.id.

Cost (PNBP)

     

    Stay permit up to 5 years: IDR 12,000,000

     

    consisting of:

     

    • Temporary Stay Visa: IDR 500,000

     

    • Visa Verification: IDR 1,000,000

     

    • Temporary Stay Permit (ITAS) for 5 years: IDR 7,000,000

     

    • Re-entry Permit (IMK) for 5 years: IDR 3,500,000

     

     

    Stay permit up to 10 years: IDR 18,500,000,

     

    consisting of:

     

    • Temporary Stay Visa: IDR 500,000

     

    • Visa Verification: IDR 1,000,000

     

    • Temporary Stay Permit (ITAS) for 10 years: IDR 12,000,000

     

    • Re-entry Permit (IMK) for 10 years: IDR 5,000,000

     

     

    All payments (PNBP) can be made through the designated banks. Please refer to the billing code provided by the system after your visa application is submitted. If the application is rejected, the PNBP/immigration fees paid are non-refundable.

     

Visa application

     

    You must have an account on evisa.imigrasi.go.id before applying for this visa. Once you have an account, you can log in to evisa.imigrasi.go.id  and prepare the following electronic documents (PDF or JPEG files) for the foreign national:

     

    • A valid national passport with a minimum validity of 6 (six) months.
    • Immigration Guarantee.
    • Proof of sufficient living funds for themselves and/or their family during their stay in Indonesia.
    • A recent colour passport photo.
    • Other documents to clarify the purpose and intention of the foreign national’s arrival.

     

Specific requirements

     

    5-Year Visa

     

    Immigration Guarantee by submitting a Commitment Statement to invest in Indonesia as follows:

     

    • A commitment statement to purchase Indonesian government bonds of at least USD 30,000 (thirty thousand US dollars);

     

    • A commitment statement to purchase shares in a publicly listed company in Indonesia of at least USD 30,000 (thirty thousand US dollars);

     

    • A commitment statement to purchase mutual funds in Indonesia of at least USD 30,000 (thirty thousand US dollars); or

     

    • A commitment statement to place funds in the form of deposits in a state-owned bank of at least USD 30,000 (thirty thousand US dollars).

     

    The above Commitment Statement must be fulfilled and reported to the Immigration Office that issued the Limited Stay Permit within 90 days from the date of entry into Indonesia, accompanied by:

     

    • Proof of ownership of Indonesian government bonds of at least USD 30,000 (thirty thousand US dollars);

     

    • Proof of ownership of shares in a publicly listed company in Indonesia of at least USD 30,000 (thirty thousand US dollars);

     

    • Proof of ownership of mutual funds in Indonesia of at least USD 30,000 (thirty thousand US dollars); or

     

    • Proof of ownership of funds in the form of deposits in a state-owned bank of at least USD 30,000 (thirty thousand US dollars).

     

    10-Year Visa

     

    Immigration Guarantee by submitting a Commitment Statement to invest in Indonesia as follows:

     

    • A commitment statement to purchase Indonesian government bonds of at least USD 60,000 (sixty thousand US dollars);

     

    • A commitment statement to purchase shares in a publicly listed company in Indonesia of at least USD 60,000 (sixty thousand US dollars);

     

    • A commitment statement to purchase mutual funds in Indonesia of at least USD 60,000 (sixty thousand US dollars); or

     

    • A commitment statement to place funds in the form of deposits in a state-owned bank of at least USD 60,000 (sixty thousand US dollars).

     

    The above Commitment Statement must be fulfilled and reported to the Immigration Office that issued the Limited Stay Permit within 90 days from the date of entry into Indonesia, accompanied by:

     

    • Proof of ownership of Indonesian government bonds of at least USD 60,000 (sixty thousand US dollars);

     

    • Proof of ownership of shares in a publicly listed company in Indonesia of at least USD 60,000 (sixty thousand US dollars);

     

    • Proof of ownership of mutual funds in Indonesia of at least USD 60,000 (sixty thousand US dollars); or

     

    • Proof of ownership of funds in the form of deposits in a state-owned bank of at least USD 60,000 (sixty thousand US dollars).

     

     

Other provisions

     

    • The granting of this type of visa does not apply to foreign nationals who:
      • Are citizens of a country that was previously part of the Territory of Indonesia;
      • Are currently employed or were previously employed overseas as civil servants, law enforcement officers, intelligence personnel, and/or military personnel;
      • Have previously been involved in separatist groups; and/or
      • Have acted in a manner contrary to national interests.
    • The visa is valid for 90 days from the date of issuance. If the visa is not used within this period, the foreign national must apply for a new visa in order to enter Indonesia.
    • Please note that the visa validity period is different from the period of stay. Applicants are advised to check their visa for detailed information on the permitted length of stay.
    • The Temporary Stay Permit (ITAS) and Re-entry Permit will be issued automatically upon the foreign national's entry by immigration officers at the Immigration Border Control.
    • Foreign nationals are prohibited from staying in Indonesia beyond the authorised period of stay, engaging in work activities that are not in accordance with the granted stay permit, or conducting the sale of goods or services, unless such activities are required as part of their authorised employment.
    • The value of the Immigration Guarantee must be maintained at no less than the amount stated in the commitment declaration submitted at the time of the visa application, for as long as the stay permit remains valid.

     

Visa application and granting process

     

    Visa applications submitted through the Directorate General of Immigration are processed as follows:

     

    • checking the completeness of the required documents;
    • verifying payment of immigration fees in accordance with applicable laws and regulations;
    • profiling and verification;
    • approval; and
    • visa issuance.

     

    Processing time is 4 working days from the date the visa payment is received.
