E23 Work Visa

With this visa, you can

     

    work with a sponsor in Indonesia and bring your family. This visa allows you to enter and exit Indonesia and ensure your  Re-Entry Permit is still valid. You are allowed to take education through the Dual Activity Stay Permit mechanism. You can also conduct investment activities, visit tourist spots, and meet friends or family.

Visa type

     

    This is a Temporary Stay Visa to enter Indonesia that allows you to enter and exit Indonesia for a certain period of time. The stay permit from this type of visa can be extended and transferred to another stay permit for a different activity or work.

Length of stay

     
    • Depending on your selection, you can stay in Indonesia for 180 days, 1 year, or 2 years. The stay permit duration starts from your arrival date.
    • Your sponsor can extend your stay permit online through the sponsor's registered account at evisa.imigrasi.go.id

Cost (PNBP)

    Stay period up to 180 days: IDR 5,250,000 Stay period up to 1 year: IDR 7,000,000 Stay period up to 2 years: IDR 9,500,000
    All payments (Non-Tax State Revenue / PNBP) can be made through designated banks. Please refer to the billing code generated in the system after the visa application has been submitted by the sponsor.

Visa application

     

    Sponsors must have an account at evisa.imigrasi.go.id before applying for a visa for foreigners. After having an account, the sponsor can apply for a visa for foreigners after logging in at evisa.imigrasi.go.id by submitting electronic files (file format details) of foreigners, such as:

    • application letter and sponsor's statement letter,
    • a nationality passport that is still valid for at least 6 months before it expires
    • proof of living expenses in Indonesia in the form of a bank statement in the foreigner's or sponsor's name for the last 3 months of at least USD 2000 or an equivalent amount in other currencies
    • recent color photograph. Details

    • work permit from the Ministry of Labor

Other provisions

     
    •  
    • The visa is valid for 90 days from the date of issuance. If it is not used after that period, foreigners must apply for a new visa to enter Indonesia.
    • Please note that the visa validity period differs from the period of stay, so kindly check your visa for information on the length of stay.
    • The temporary Stay Permit (ITAS) and Re-Entry Permit will be issued after the officer permits you to enter through the Immigration Border Control.
    • You must not exceed the duration of your stay permit in Indonesia, perform work that does not align with your stay permit, or sell goods or services unless it is necessary for your job.

Visa application and granting process

     

    Visa application at the Directorate General of Immigration, the officer will:

    • check your documents;
    • verify your immigration fee payment;
    • create your profile in the system and verify;
    • approve your application;
    • issuing your visa.

    Processing time is four working days after visa payment is received.
