The requirements for passport application include preparing an electronic identity card (KTP elektronik), family card (kartu keluarga), and supported by an original and a photocopy of birth certificate/marriage certificate/diploma. For the replacement of passports issued in 2009 and later, it is sufficient to bring the electronic identity card and the old passport (not applicable for passports that are lost, damaged, or issued by KBRI).
If the applicant has not obtained an electronic identity card (KTP-El), it can be replaced with either a substitute certificate or a letter of recommendation from the local civil registry office.

If, during the process, there are indications that the purpose of the passport application does not align with the information provided during the interview, officials may request additional documents beyond the stated requirements to enhance the applicant's information.

If the passport is lost or damaged, the applicant can visit the nearest immigration office directly, along with a letter of proof of loss issued by the police.
